The engraved model of the “Sakura” keytop set, which PFU Corporation has announced as the first product of the HHKB Color Keytop Project, will go on sale today, March 14.
The price is 8,250 yen (including tax) for the English-arranged model and 9,240 yen (including tax) for the Japanese-arranged model.
Sales are limited to PFU Direct, with 510 sets of the English layout and 425 sets of the Japanese layout available in Japan.

At first glance, this may seem like a lot, but since the population of HHKB fans is much larger than one would think, the product will probably sell out quickly.
However, the possibility of resale has been mentioned, so some users may take a wait-and-see approach.
The second set of colored key tops is scheduled to be available by the end of 2024, but no release date or specifications have been mentioned at this time.
