The K3 series is one of the most popular low-profile mechanical keyboards in recent years.

The 75% layout is easy to use in any country or region, and the comfortable typing experience without the need for a palm rest is one of the reasons for its popularity.

However, it is clear that the specifications were not quite satisfactory for core fans.

This is probably because they could not reconfigure the key map themselves.

Keychro K3 Pro supports QMK/VIA and all keys can be customized.

Another attractive feature of Keychron’s low-profile keyboards is the use of double-shot PBT keycaps, a first for a Keychron low-profile keyboard.

Of course, it is hot-swappable, allowing you to reconfigure the LowProfile Gateron MX Switch yourself.

Production and shipments are scheduled to begin in mid-December.

According to Kickstarter, the Keychro K3 Pro is scheduled to be produced and shipped in mid-December 2022.

Future Procedures

  1. Between November 19-26, the credit card company will bill you for the amount you supported.
  2. Confirm contact information and type of keyswitch between November 24-25.
  3. Reconfirmation of orders over Dec. 5-6.
  4. Sequential production → Shipping

Keychron K3 Pro review after Christmas

Since the product will be shipped in mid-December, the Keychro K3 Pro will be reviewed after Christmas.

Please look forward to it.

Keychron K3 Pro has double-shot PBT keycaps that drastically change the feel of keystrokes.

I actually experienced the double-shot PBT keycap a step earlier.

The low-profile double-shot PBT keycaps used in the Keychro K3 Pro were actually sold as a set of individual keycaps earlier.

I immediately purchased it and replaced the default keycaps on my beloved Keychron K7, and the keystroke feel has changed drastically!

What had been a flimsy key feel was replaced by a “solid” feel, like a normal profile keyboard.

As expected, the PBT keycaps are thicker and heavier, and seem to produce a more comfortable keystroke feel.

Thus the weight has increased by 22 g.

The thickness and the beauty of the modeling also show that the double-shot PBT keycaps are superior.

As for weight, you will notice that the conventional product weighs about 0.3 g per keycap, while the DoubleShot PBT keycap weighs about 0.6 g, making it heavier.

Is the Keychron K3 Pro available to the general public in Spring 2023?

This is our report on the Keychro K3 Pro crowdfunding deal.

The amount of support is five times the target amount, and three optional items are included.

Since the Keychro K3 Pro has become so popular, it will probably be sold to the general public.

My personal estimate is that it will be in the spring of 2023.

I’m looking forward to it!
